Stonework

Stonework can be used in interior or exterior design. Stone has a hight fire rating making it a safe option for interior or exterior accents.

Services

Stucco

Stucco is applied by hand, or machine to exterior and interior wall surfaces. It may be applied directly to a solid base such as masonry or concrete walls, or it can be applied to metal lath attached to frame construction, solid masonry, or concrete construction. Applied to metal lath, two coats form a 5/8-inch total thickness. A vapor-permeable, water-resistant building paper separates the plaster and lath from water-sensitive sheathing or framing. Cementitious stucco has high impact resistance and sheds water, but it also breathes, allowing water vapor to escape. It is a proven system that works in all climates.Stucco is applied either by hand or machine to exterior and interior wall surfaces.

Hardcoat Stucco

Hardcoat stucco is instead installed over wood sheeting, known as OSB, and metal lath holds it all together. We can use foam underlayment as an option for insulation purposes. Hardcoat Stucco is usually 3/4″ to 1 inch thick and therefore will feel more solid (thicker) and give a solid thump if you tap on it.

EIFS Stucco Systems

Although often called "synthetic stucco", EIFS is not a hard coat stucco system. Traditional stucco is a centuries-old material which consists of aggregate, a binder, and water, and is a hard, dense, thick, non-insulating material. EIFS is a lightweight synthetic wall cladding that includes foam plastic insulation and thin synthetic coatings. There are also specialty stuccos that use synthetic materials but no insulation, and these are also not EIFS. A common example is what is called one-coat stucco, which is a thick, synthetic stucco applied in a single layer (traditional stucco is applied in 3 layers). There is also an EIFS-like product called a direct-applied finish system (or DAFS), which is essentially an EIFS but without the insulation, and has quite different characteristics.

STOP spending hours and days of your life having multiple companies come out for your project estimate. You only have to make one phone call and talk with Alan Ruiz (the owner) and all your concerns and frustrations will go away!! We had no less than 7 bids for our job. A couple lower than his but many over. The reason we chose Cruz Stucco is because he knows the right answers to the questions. Has a 2 yr warranty on his work and will absolutely NOT do stucco over siding. Make no mistake about it. This is something you want to have a professional crew handle and these guys are the best I’ve seen. The crew, led by Fabian has many years of experience and it shows when the job is completed. Should you desire to have the best looking house in the neighborhood, then ditch that ugly siding and wrap your house in cement and stucco! We’ve already noticed a dramatic change in sound levels from outside and also we can leave our windows open for a breeze in the house even on an 85 degree day. The inside temp didn’t go over 71!!!! Stop thinking about it and make it happen. You won’t be sorry you’ve made the choice to go with stucco for your largest investment or using Cruz Custom Stucco for the work!!! Hands down the best in the business!!
